Free School Meals

Please help us to help you - we are trying to ensure that any family eligible

for free school meals is receiving their entitlement.

By receiving your correct entitlement for free school meals also means that your daughter may benefit from additional funding throughout the year e.g. subsidised school trips, and / or revision classes for exams. The school would like to bring to your attention that there is a new website where parents and carers can quickly and easily check eligibility for free school meals.

The online eligibility check is quick and easy to use. Simply visit www.fsm.lgfl.net and enter the necessary details, which will include a short registration process. This will give you an immediate ‘yes’ or ‘no’ response,  and will notify the school.

Below  is a helpful step by step guide and letter to assist you.

Refurbishment of the School Canteen

Refurbishment of the School Canteen 8.01.2019 – 26.4.2019

We are now progressing with plans to refurbish the school canteen. The kitchen will be dismantled and there will be a temporary reduction in the menu options available to staff and students for the duration of this project.

The kiosk, which was installed in the summer will be available but has limited capacity.  A reduced break and lunch time service will also be available within the School but we would be extremely grateful if parents and carers could provide packed lunches for students as much as possible.

Free school meals will continue to be provided and delivered to the School.

Breakfast Club will be based in the Food Technology Room (104) with adjoining classrooms used as seating areas.  The timings for Breakfast Club have been changed and it will run from 7.45 until 8.20 for the duration of the work.

This exciting project will provide students with a new dining experience in a modern and inviting environment to match the rest of the school, which will help promote outstanding teaching and learning at Bentley Wood
