Career and Educational talks

"From September 2018 through to April 2019, the Careers

Department has organised a programme of talks for students called: 

CasE (Careers and supportive Educational) Talks".

The talks included a talk from King’s College London on Dentistry, a talk from the University of Cambridge on Applying to the University of Cambridge and a talk from Professor Silvana Tenreyro, from The London School of Economics and Political Science, who gave a talk on Economics as a university subject and as a career path.

Further exciting times lie ahead for the Careers Department as from September 2018, students will have the opportunity to attend further CasE talks from a wide variety of guest speakers, including a talk from Helen Gillett, the Managing Director for Affinity Water and James Toney, Managing Editor for News Associates who will give a talk on Journalism. CasE Talks will be advertised on a weekly basis within school.

In October, all students will get the opportunity to attend the school’s Careers/HE Fair on the 11th October, between 8:50am - 3:15pm. There will be over 30 universities/colleges attending, including King’s College London, University of Warwick, Imperial College London, SOAS, The University of Oxford, University of Newcastle, Brunel University, Royal Holloway University, The University of Surrey, Cardiff University and the University of Hertfordshire to name a few. In addition, we also have another 30 employers and apprenticeship providers in attendance, including: Siemens, The Bank of England, Cisco Computing, CGI, Ernest & Young, Civil Service, CBRE, London Fire Brigade, Transport for London and BT.

In addition, from September the school will be delivering Apprenticeship Lunches, whereby once a month (between September 2018 through to April 2019) a different apprenticeship provider or employer will be invited into school during the lunch break (12:50pm to 1:20pm) to talk to students about the apprenticeship opportunities they have available. These talks will also be advertised on a monthly basis within school
