Careers and Supportive Educational Talks 

The Bentley Wood CasE programme ( Careers and Supportive Educational Talks )has included a talk on Medicine from Queen Mary, University of London, from the University of Oxford on the application process and guidelines for applying to the University of Oxford and a talk from Dr David Waller, from University of Northampton, who gave a talk on studying International Relations and Politics at university and the wide range of careers and opportunities in politics.  The full programme of CasE talks is advertised a weekly basis within school as well as on the Bentley Wood High School website.

In October all students had the opportunity to attend the school’s Careers and Higher Education Fair on the 10th October 2019, between 8:50am - 3:15pm.  University staff and undergraduate students from over 30 universities and colleges engaged with our students providing them with course information, advice, and personal insights on further and higher education opportunities. 

Universities included King’s College London, University of Warwick, Imperial College London, SOAS, the University of Oxford, University of Newcastle, Brunel University, Royal Holloway University, the University of Surrey, Cardiff University and the University of Hertfordshire to name a few.   In addition another 30 employers and apprenticeship providers in attended  including: Siemens, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Taylor Woodrow, Ernest & Young, the Civil Service, the UK's communications regulator Ofcom, the London Fire Brigade, Transport for London and British Telecom.
