On 27th September, over 20 students attended the third talk, with Freddie Warner, Higher Education Liaison Officer from King’s College London, who discussed with students the different career pathways into dentistry.


  • The different Dentistry degree pathways available to students, including Dentistry DBS programme, the Dentistry Graduate/Professional Entry pathway and the Enhanced support Dentistry Programme.
  • What universities look for in students applying for Dentistry, including relevant Work Experience, Research in to Dentistry and a genuine interest and enthusiasm for the subject and the profession.
  • The key dates that students need to be aware of when they are applying for Dentistry.
  • University entrance tests used for students applying for Dentistry, which is mainly the UKCAT multiple choice test, which lasts for 2 hours and is divided into 5 subsections: Verbal Reasoning; Quantitative Reasoning; Abstract Reasoning; Decision Analysis and Situational Judgement.
  • The different types of interviews used by universities, including multi mini interviews, group interviews, panel interviews and one-to-one interviews.
  • The UCAS Personal Statement, and how to sell yourself in the best way.
