Curriculum

We aim to treat each pupil as an individual with particular needs of her own.
Irrespective of ability all pupils follow the school curriculum and are encouraged
to learn from each other in a co-operative and stimulating atmosphere. Pupils who
have special educational needs are assisted by skilled learning assistants who
work alongside subject teachers to allow all pupils access to the curriculum. Pupils
of marked aptitude are encouraged to develop their skills and abilities in all areas
of the school curriculum.

Bentley Wood aims to provide a broad, balanced education which encourages
pupils to develop their individual abilities and achieve their full potential in all areas
of the curriculum. We are proud of our excellent tradition of academic success
which has been achieved as a result of the dedication of our staff and pupils
who work together with enthusiasm and commitment.

Bentley Wood High School was designated a specialist Mathematics and
Computing College in September 2005.
