Bentley Wood High School is a non selective comprehensive school with no predefined catchment area for admissions. Harrow Local Authority is responsible for pupil admissions in all LA high schools. The local authority provides a booklet called A Guide to Secondary Schools in Harrow which outlines the application procedure, arrangements for visits to the school, the number of places available and the percentage uptake of these places.
Secondary Transfer – children starting Year 7 in September 2017 – how to appeal
If you wish to appeal against the decision not to offer your child a place at the school, for your appeal to be heard in the main round of appeals it must be submitted by Thursday 13th April 2017. To submit an appeal please complete the appeal form, which is available from the Harrow Council website (http://www.harrow.gov.uk/info/200129/admissions/408/appeals-_school_admissions) or from the Harrow Council Admissions Service (firstname.lastname@example.org). Appeals will be heard during the summer term 2017.
An appeal has to be made in writing, setting out the grounds on which it is made, in full. You must include a full description of your case. Additional information and evidence supporting your appeal and its grounds should be submitted as soon as possible and before the appeal hearing. Please note that any evidence or information submitted on the date of the appeal may not be considered.
