Careers Fair 2025

The Careers Fair this year was a great success. There were exhibitors from 35 organisations including businesses, universities and local colleges.

They included the Bank of America, the Army, Transport for London, Border Force, Amazon and the NHS. The Property, Food Manufacturing and Theatre sectors were also represented to give students an insight into a wide range of careers.

Fifteen universities attended, including student ambassadors from the Russell Group universities, King’s College, London and Queen Mary, University of London. Stanmore and Harrow College as well as Global Academy were able to give information to students on post-16 options.

Students in all year groups attended the event and by preparing for the fair during form time, they had already researched the stalls they wanted to visit. This led to students having meaningful encounters with the exhibitors and impressing them with the questions they were asking.

This is what a Year 10 student had to say about the fair:

‘The careers fair at our school was an amazing opportunity to learn more about different jobs and industries, visit and talk to universities and colleges, and explore future pathways. I especially enjoyed visiting the Amazon Web Services stall, where we had a chance to ask and answer questions for prizes such as stickers, notebooks and water bottles.

We had a discussion with Amazon about sustainability in the workplace. It was interesting to hear how they are working to be more environmentally friendly, while still focusing on technology and innovation. I was lucky enough to win a water bottle and a notebook from their stall, after asking an engaging question, and answering questions too, which made the experience even better!’

We thank all those that were able to attend and look forward to building on this success with future careers events.
