This has been an extraordinary academic year. It is a time when we have valued the strong support from family and friends. Being part of our Bentley Wood Community has certainly been something that I have valued. Our girls at Bentley Wood have responded so well to the Virtual School. They have brought great joy to us in a variety of ways with all their great work, activities and contribution.
We were delighted to appoint our Head Girl Team and have already seen their exciting plans for this year. You will see their lovely introductions in this newsletter. We have been very impressed with the art work, poetry, writing and photography produced by the girls across all year groups. It is so good that we have decided to publish this as a book. We will of course let you know when this is published.
A huge thank you to you all for being such wonderful Bentley Wood families. We know you have worked very hard in your different roles at home, including teaching. Our thoughts are very much with you. We hope you stay well and safe during the holiday. Finally thank you for your great feedback. Some extracts are in this newsletter. We are very lucky at Bentley Wood to have a fantastic team of staff. They have really gone the extra mile in the Virtual School to ensure that the girls continue to have the best education. I know you would join me in saying thank you for their great work and care.
Re: Planned Rail Strike
As you may be aware, the rail union RMT has announced numerous days of national strike action this week.
The days most affected by the rail and tube closures are Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd June. Thursday 23rd could possibly also be impacted with roads and buses busier than usual. Please allow additional time for your journey to ensure your daughter arrives to school on time.
Just a reminder that end of year examinations will be continuing and your daughter is expected to be in school to sit these exams.
Please make alternative travel arrangements to ensure your daughter arrives at school on time.
