Newsletter

Dear Bentley Wood community,

As we head into our half term break in beautiful sunshine a last message from me with our penultimate newsletter of the year.

It may have been a short half term, but it was certainly packed with many events that I hope you will all enjoy reading. We had our cultural week celebration concert which took place just before the Easter holidays and the amazing Jazz Trio which visited us on our first day back. We have said farewell to our Year 13 students and wished them well with a lovely leaver’s assembly led by Ms Mouskis and the Head student team. We are all now looking forward to the Prom. Ms Osbourne and the Year 11 pastoral team shared fond memories with the Year 11 students as we celebrated the past 5 years they had been together at Bentley Wood.

So many trips, which so many students in Year 8, 9 and 10 have enjoyed and there are more trips to look forward to next term too.

We have also had outdoor yoga, Gardening Club, A Slice of Nice, Chess Club, scientist talks, book fairs and NHS cadets.

Our Year 11 and 13 students have got stuck into their GCSE and A Level exams. Our Year 12 and 10 students will also start their internal exams soon. We wish them all the very best of luck; they have worked hard and should walk into their exams with confidence.

A reminder for students coming onsite during the holidays to make sure they sign in and out as directed in reception and to always follow instructions given to them by the supervising staff.

Please enjoy the half term break with your families and friends and I look forward to seeing you all again in June.

Kindest regards,

Ms N Akbar
Headteacher
